With their intoxicating blend of precision punk and serpentine classic rock, the band has been compared to everyone from Hot Water Music and Foo Fighters to Bruce Springsteen and Glen Hansard.  Florida-based indie rock outfit Escape Tonight is quickly shifting from the underground rock venues to one of the genre's premier commercial and acclaimed alternative rock acts.

Formed in St. Pete by singer/guitarist Russell Fama and bassist Rick Herbert, Escape Tonight self released its debut LP, Far From Home, with Grammy award winning producer Joe Quinde - best known for his work with Jay Z and Mary J. Blige.  Recorded within three days, the 10-track album was noisy, hook-filled, and was generally well-received.  Leading track "Heart from Bone" earned Honorable Mention in Randy Jackson's "Song of the Year" competition amongst 4,000,000 entries, and pop-punk track "A Million" was awarded best sing-a-long song by Rock Solid Pressure Radio in 2011.

It wasn't until the band was joined by lead guitarist Pete Tremblay, and drummer Danny Bauer that the group began to hone in on the tight, minimalist pop that would become it's rock forte.  It is with the bands newly expected EP, Ampersand, that the they will go on to carve its niche in the increasingly widening modern rock mainstream, specifically with the vulnerably insightful and boisterous track "Chameleon".  The group is expected to take an even more adventurous approach to their live sound while interacting with fans, and has already been seen on the stage at The Sarasota Zombie Pub Crawl, Pelican Pop Fest, 98 Rock's St Paddy's Day Block Party, Roller Derby Half-Time shows, various industry showcases, and the International Surf Day Competitions.

Most recently they have shared the stage with Hoobastank, Face to Face, Paper Tongues, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, A Wilhelm Scream, Rookie of the Year, Eye Empire, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, and local favorites Less Than Jake.  This increasingly prominent indie rock act will be throughout the state of FL promoting the upcoming release of their new EP, due in April.
